Centre part vs Side part: which one is right for you?

There's nothing like changing your hair part to refresh your look, but which style should you go for?

The Centre Part

The centre part is 2017's go-to high fashion look, and is a runway staple spotted in fashion shows all over the world. Centre parts traditionally suit those with rounder face shapes, and medium or long hair with this part will have the effect of elongating your face on all sides. A polished centre part says elegance and sophistication, and emphasises the symmetry of your face as well as draws attention to your eyes and eyebrows. For an extra polished centre part, use a fine toothed comb to brush either side of your part after drying, and set it with a spritz of L'oreal Professionnel Infinium hairspray.

The Side Parting

If you aren't the sort of person who has been blessed with completely symmetrical features, a side parting in your hair will be a softer and more flattering alternative for you. The off-centre look works well with more angular and long face shapes, and a variety of hair lengths. Deep side parts look amazing on shorter length hair, and can be styled with either a meticulous polished part, or a looser side-swept 'bed head' aesthetic where you simply part the hair with your fingers.
